From now on, Dung Quat Oil Refinery will have another high quality petrochemical product, good price, popular with the market.
Developing the new product BOPP F3030 is a solid step for the company in the process of diversifying valuable and economically effective petrochemical products – in line with the shift to a petrochemical product structure. “Success in developing new products with high economic efficiency and reaching niche markets will help increase overall profits for the company,” Mr. Bui Ngoc Duong emphasized.
The General Director also said that in the coming time, the company will continue to promote marketing throughout the market with the goal of gradually increasing the proportion of new plastic resin products; At the same time, further promote communication, promotion, introduction of new products and technical consulting support for customers.
BOPP F3030 plastic masterbatch is used to produce BOPP film which has more stiffness, elasticity and transparency than PE plastic film, and has sharp printing ability; At the same time, it is waterproof, moisture-proof and mechanically enhances the packaging. BOPP film is used to produce soft food packaging, plating film, multilayer film, tape, cigarette packs, flower wrapping paper, magazine cover lamination film…
According to BSR statistics, every year about 90,000 – 100,000 tons of BOPP film are used in the Vietnamese market; Of which 75,000 – 85,000 tons of BOPP film are imported from abroad and 15,000 tons of BOPP film are produced domestically from imported BOPP plastic pellets. In 2022, the BOPP plastic resin market demand becomes more balanced when the Tu Phuong BOPP film factory with a capacity of 50,000 tons a year comes into operation. The price of BOPP plastic pellets is usually higher than the price of traditional plastic pellets for textile fiber and injection molding applications, about 20-30 USD per ton (according to prices published at ICIS CFR S.E.Asia dutiable).
Over the years, BSR’s traditional plastic resin products T3034 and I3110 have been highly appreciated by many markets and customers and have good quality.
In 2020 – 2021, BSR Company has promoted research work to increase the production rate of new petrochemical products in addition to traditional oil refining and petrochemical products. New products that have been successfully tested and commercialized are textile fiber products coded T3045 and T3050; Injection molding application products code I3085 and I3150. Currently, BSR continues to be successful in producing BOPP plastic pellets, code F3030.
With many years of experience in the field of producing Polypropylene plastic beads, in the coming time the company said it will continue to research, produce and market new types of Polypropylene plastic beads used in Yarn textile applications. (with wider molecular weight distribution than T3034), apply Blow film F5110 and Cast Film F6070; Fiber applications… Besides, the business also proactively works with many domestic customers to grasp customer needs and expand the consumption market for new PP plastic resin products in the near future.
